Feb. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Welspun Energy Ltd., India’s biggest developer of solar projects, will commission two plants in the state of Rajasthan by the end of next week, more than 10 days ahead of schedule.
The 15-megawatt and 20-megawatt projects in Jodhpur district were to start Feb. 26, Managing Director Vineet Mittal said in a phone interview yesterday from Mumbai.
Welspun commenced another 15-megawatt solar generator in the northwestern state, according to a Jan. 22 statement.
The company, based in New Delhi, is setting up 750 megawatts of solar power and 1 gigawatt of wind power plants across India, it said in the statement.
