Dec. 16 (Bloomberg) -- ED&F Man Holdings Ltd. named Phil Howell chief executive officer, succeeding Rafael Muguiro, who becomes chairman.
Howell, currently head of the financial services business and head of group business development, takes his new job on Jan. 15, and Muguiro’s appointment is effective April 1, ED&F Man said in a statement e-mailed today. Jan Kees van der Wild, head of ED&F Man’s Volcafe coffee unit and the company’s liquid products division, will become managing director of commodities, effective Jan. 15.
Molly Harvey, having completed the fixed three years as chairman, will become deputy chairman, starting April 1. Chris Smith will become managing director of financial services, effective Jan. 15. Van der Wild and Smith will both report to the CEO.
