Jan. 7 (Bloomberg) -- Prosecutors plan to call a former SAC Capital Advisors LP employee who worked as Mathew Martoma’s trader as their first witness in the insider-trading case against the ex-fund manager, according to two people with knowledge of the matter.

Tim Jandovitz will testify as soon as a jury is seated in the case, which could be as early as tomorrow afternoon, Assistant U.S. Attorney Arlo Devlin-Brown said in court today. Jandovitz was employed by SAC from 2005 to 2010, at least part of the time as Martoma’s trader, then left to start a sandwich restaurant in Chicago, one of the people said.
