Feb. 18 (Bloomberg) -- Hong Kong’s Air Quality Health Index recorded ‘very high’ health risk at one of the three roadside- monitoring stations, according to data from the Environmental Protection Department.

The index was 8 on a scale of 1 to 10+ in Central and Causeway Bay and 7 or “high” in Causeway Bay as of 1 p.m. local time. A reading of 8 or above triggers a government advice for people with heart or respiratory illnesses to reduce time of stay outdoors, especially in areas with heavy traffic.

A cross-border ferry carrying more than 80 passengers collided with a container ship in New Territories’ Tuen Mun amid poor visibility in thick fog today, the South China Morning Post reported.
