June 6 (Bloomberg) -- Colin Robertson, chief financial officer at CLSA Ltd., died yesterday in a traffic accident. He was 39.
Robertson, from Scotland, died after being hit by a truck last night while riding his bicycle near the airport on Lantau Island, the police said in a statement.
An amateur racing cyclist, Robertson moved to Lantau Island with his wife and son to take advantage of flatter, less- congested roads, the South China Morning Post said. He joined CLSA in October 2010 from Royal Bank of Scotland.
“CLSA management and staff are shocked and deeply saddened by the sudden loss of Colin, a much admired colleague and friend,” the company said in an e-mailed statement.
The driver, a 55-year-old man surnamed Lam, was arrested and later released on bail, according to a police spokeswoman.
