Gamesa to Build 50-Megawatt Wind Farm for Astidey in Uruguay

June 30 (Bloomberg) -- Gamesa Corp. Tecnologica SA said it signed a deal with Astidey SA in Uruguay to build a 50-megawatt wind farm in the Flores region.

As part of the deal, Zamudio, Spain-based Gamesa will supply, transport, erect and commission 25 G97 2-megawatt wind turbines at the Talas de Maciel I wind farm, the Spanish manufacturer said today in an e-mailed statement.

The turbines will be delivered this year, with the project due to be running by the middle of next year, Gamesa said. It will also operate and maintain the farm for 20 years, the company said.
